The Hutchinson Housing & Redevelopment Authority announces availability of funding for the following deferred loan/grant programs for homeowners in the City of Hutchinson.

The City of Hutchinson Revolving Housing Rehab Program is available for moderate income homeowners in Hutchinson to address basic house repair and energy improvement items.  Homeowners must be current on their mortgage payments, taxes, and property insurance.   An owner match is required for 50% of the project cost.  The maximum deferred loan/grant amount available is up to $10,000 or 50% of the rehab project cost.  The deferred loan is at 0% interest, no payments with the loan forgiven in full after 10 years, if the homeowner does not sell, transfer title, or cease to occupy the property during the loan term.

The Minnesota Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program assists low income homeowners in Hutchinson to address home improvements that directly affect safety, habitability, energy efficiency or accessibility of their homes.  The maximum loan amount is $27,000.  The homeowner must be current on property taxes, mortgage and property taxes.  Loans are forgiven after fifteen years, if the homeowner does not sell, transfer title, or cease to occupy the property during the loan term.

For more information on rehab or home improvement programs for homeowners in Hutchinson, please contact Judy Flemming at the Hutchinson HRA at 234-4451.

The Hutchinson HRA announces the availability of an expanded Fix Up home improvement loan program from Minnesota Housing.    Additional loan options offer homeowners more choices in finding the best terms for their home improvement loan.   One of the options does not require equity in your home.  New loan terms offer both secured and unsecured loan options, longer repayment terms with lower monthly payments and fixed interest rates.  These funds are available to repair, remodel, or focus on energy saving improvements.  The Hutchinson HRA also offers the Community Fix Up home improvement loan program for Hutchinson homeowners with even lower interest rates for roof repair or if you are located in a Small Cities rehab program target area.  To find out more about applying for the Fix Up or Community Fix Up home improvement loan program or other HRA home improvement and rehab programs, call Judy Flemming at the Hutchinson HRA at 320-234-4251.
