Home Improvement Programs promote energy efficiency and preserve existing housing for home owners who reside at their property. This is not a program for homeowners renting out their property.  Another program, The Fix-Up Home Improvement Loan Program is available for people residing outside of Hutchinson.

City Deferred Grant Program - Manufactured Home Initiative - 0% interest loan, half forgiven after 5 years and other half forgiven after 10 years - No Monthly Payment
City Accessibility Deferred Grant Program - 0% interest loan forgiven after 5 yrs. - No Monthly Payment

Minnesota Housing Home Improvement Programs Administered by HRA

The Minnesota Housing Fix-Up Fund is available to homeowners for general home improvements at below market interest rates with low closing costs and fees.

Step 2: Prepare the answers for the following questions prior to calling HRA
  • What home improvements do you need?
  • What is the total number of residents in your household?
  • What is your annual household, gross income (amount before taxes are taken out)?
